Wild North
cabins of Eastern Finland are located hidden in the forest of North – Karelia.
Ponds and rivers colour the scenery in these wilderness areas. The neighbours
include moose, beaver and bear. Traditional log cabins are not luxurious, but
they fulfil the basic needs and the spirit of the wilderness is guaranteed. In the
cabins of hiking area Ruunaa and recreational fishing area Peurajärvi, social
life with same spirited nature enthusiasts is assured. The nature experiences
are found from the forests and waters. For a berry picker; lingonberry,
blueberry and cloudberry are to look for. For fishermen pike and perch are
guaranteed catch, lavaret is found from many lakes and trout is caught best
from Ruunaa. The hunters seek for both black grouses and wood grouses, as well
as for beavers. The enjoyment of the nature is up to imagination.
