This historic, fully renovated forest rangers
farmhouse is situated in the real wilderness by the river of Pakanajoki. The
cabin is on the south side of the wilderness area of Vätsäri and 14 km from
Näätämö. Around the cabin of Pakanajoki are excellent ice-fishing places and
summer fishing lakes. The Wild North arranges also full service fishing and
hunting trips to Pakanajoki. Car parking, both at summer and winter time in
Näätämö, 14 km.

3 broaden beds, wood stove heating. Kitchen: one bed for 2 people, gas stove,
wood stove, fireplace and baking oven, cellar. Blue living room: one broaden
bed, one single bed and wood stove heating. In summer extra space for
accommodation in the attic (mattresses for 6 people). Drinking water from the
river, candle lightning, sauna in a separate building in the yard, 2 rowing
boats on the shore of lake Vuontisjärvi (2 km away), smoking oven.

Driving directions:
|
The summer route has been marked with orange signs. From
Sevettijärvi to Näätämä approx. 25 km, 5 km before the village of Näätämö on
the right hand side a broad place, where a turnoff to the right to the former
highway. Drive 300 meters, a car parking place. Walking distance of 14 km to
the cabin.
By plane: one can take a plane taxi from Sevettijärvi, Inari or Ivalo and fly
to the close by lake Vuontisjärvi. Walking distance of 1 km to the cabin.
To the cabin at wintertime: The
car can be left at the village of Näätämö in front of the Stoppari. From the
village along the snow mobile track towards the border of Norway, 300 meters
before the Norwegian border a turn to the south (right). The snow mobile
track goes all the way to Vuontisjärvi, 14 km. From Vuontisjärvi 1 km to the
cabin.
